I have to deliver an M-Level Presentation for 20 minutes and already have 44 slides, am thinking just over two slides a minute. Have not rehearsed yet but it does seem too much - on the other hand dont' want to run out of things to say, can anyone help?

Yes it's too much! You need To make sure you have time to talk around the slide and each slide should ideally have no more than 5 bullett points, no rambling text! For 20 mins I would aim for 10-15 slides......

And make sure you rehearse lots!

Yes, far too many. Never have more than a slide per minute, ideally as few as possible.

Goodluck with it!

Our two hour lectures have 30-40 slides so yours sounds miles too much. A few points on each slides with a lot of talking around the points would be better.

Good luck!

too much. a thumb measure for me is one slide per min + 5 min added at the end to make up for hickups and questions.

Way too many, yes. I have done entire morning's lectures with about that many slides.

I have done two masters presentations this year that were 15 - 20 mins. Both had 10/12 slides. One person on my course tended to have more like 20 slides and her presentations were always rushed.
You need to have the key info on the slides...the stuff that will be helpful to you in prompting you in your presentation (that is what I do anyway).

Way too many slides! 12 slides max and not too much info on them. Nobody wants to have to squint at a screen full of text.

thank you everyone you have been incredibly helpful
