New to cloth...boosters? Liners? How does it all work?!

I'm just starting to use reusables with dd, 6 months. I have some of the new Tots Note, the pocket ones.

My question is this. I know I put the thick booster bit in the pocket. I then have some flushable liners that presumably go on top. When dd wees I presume the booster needs to come out, but does the whole happy need changing at this point, or so I just put a new booster in? Is there a liner that also keeps the bit against her skin feeling dry?

I know these seem like dim questions but I'm determined to make it work but I just can't figure it all out!

Ps: how many nappies do you have for full time daytime use, washing every 3 to 4 days?

Tots bots pockets are fab. I use fleece lineres rather than flushable ones.I change the whole lot each time.

I also have tots bots stretchies which are fitted nappies with a patterned wrap, then you only wash the nappy bit and wash the wrap as and when you need to - it will probably last all day.

I think about 15 nappies would last you if you washed a load every day and had a dryer. Saying that if you're like me and get carried away you'll end up with loads lol.

I would also reccommend washable wipes (bamboo/terry not fleece ones) I think I must have saved a small fortune and they actually work so much better!

Thanks for that, I'll look into those ones. The ones I've got feel quite stiff as they have the permanent waterproof outer, they don't look comfortable?! Maybe after washing a few times they soften?

Tots Bots do use a very plasticky waterproof. Most other wraps / pocket nappies are much softer.

Fleece liners will do teh job of keeping her bottom dry - use them instead of paper liners.

the totsbots easyfit v2 have a very soft outer shell but I haven't felt a tots pocket for comparison.

I've just used a code to get a Real Easy by Hip Hip Baby for a fiver, it arrived today and is lovely and soft. We've been getting on alright with them so far, borrowed a Pop-in by Close Parent from a friend and is awesome, going to keep an eye out for some second hand or something as they're pricey new.

oooh I love the summer flower minky one (Real Easy) - you know you can share codes don't you? Grin I sold my pop in on as I wasn't loving them anymore.

Oh yes! Enter greenparentnappy, at babykind.co.uk...it was for first 100 respondents so might still work! Only on the REs.

What do you think of the Real Easies? The summer flowers is the one I got, she is wearing it today. Grin

It is a bit bulky compared to some but it is lovely and soft and very easy to use and the summer flowers is very pretty so great under dresses in the summer when people can see it rather than covered up by trousers or tights! It also has a pocket so you add more boosting if required and as the flap comes out for an AIO it doesn't take too long to dry.
For that price though I'd bite your hand off! Grin I don't know what size you got but medium seems to cover a very large range of weights.
