Has anyone ever used this?
And is it worth the £25?

Oh yes, thanks MFL, had forgotten about that - will have a look.

Nightsdrawingin · 24/03/2011 15:00

Just had a look, is Popi the best one? Seems to be a few others for that age group and it's hard to tell what's most appropriate without looking inside. The only thing is that it's best value to get it for a year and I wonder if he will have grown out of it before then - not the French but the activities!?

MIFLAW · 24/03/2011 16:15

Depends - how old is he now? I think in all of these magazines there is a range of activities, stories etc so that they outgrow one part of the mag but not another IYSWIM.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone would seel you an old set on E-bay, either, or if Bayard would send you a sample copy if you asked them. These things cost about 50 euros plus per year so they will probably be prepared to put some bait on the hook ...

My daughter has just turned 3 and, if anything, is growing IN to parts of Popi rather than out of them.

Nightsdrawingin · 25/03/2011 10:22

That's really helpful, thanks. He's 2.8/9 now, 3 in July. Will look on Ebay but then might give it a go.

MIFLAW · 28/03/2011 10:28

I checked last night, age on cover says 1-3 so I suppose (at a push) that's 12-47 months ...

MIFLAW · 28/03/2011 10:30

I am also thinking (hoping) that, as they are pretty timeless (I imagine the Christmas issue 2010 wasn't THAT different to the Christmas issue 2009 ...) I can "recycle" them with our second daughter.

Nightsdrawingin · 29/03/2011 09:12

I am also hoping to recycle with child no. 2 but she isn't born yet so will be a bit of a wait, plus any magazines (and everything else) we have tend to get a bit mangled, especially if there's any colouring to be done. I also see from the website that you can ring them and change the magazine during your subscription if the child grows out of it.

We got a copy of Tralalire magazine on holiday and it was a big hit with my 3.5 year old.
