Anyone got any recommendations for a non-leaky drinking bottle DD can take to school?

ive bought the most amazing one for DS' packed lunch, came across it doing a search for BPA free bottles on amazon. Its small enough to fit into a packed lunch box and its bright green, doesnt leak, and cost about £2.
Will try to get you a link..

vannah · 10/03/2011 21:30

sorry i cant do links but just tracked my orders from last year, go to amazon type in:
Sistema Twister Bottle, 330ml, Lime Green

we use sigg bottles. they're expensive, but worth it IMO

they were delivered super quick as well, really great little web site

I've got the same ones as vannah, and agree they are the best! Systema, come in 3 sizes and colours, BPA free, can get sandwich boxes etc too.

However, the large size is too big and bulky and has a different type of lid which is a bit ifiddly, one of mine broke, wouldn't bother with this one.

The mud puppy is the only bottle I've ever found that really does not leak.

this baby
everytghing is totally diswashable
(try puttin gyour finger in the top of a sigg and running it round the inside of the shoulder...Shock)

catinthehat2 · 10/03/2011 21:45

I've checked out all the links above and they have the same scum pocket design problem as the sigg, very hard to get at to clean properly

Here's a big no for mud puppy / one green bottle from me. I just ordered two bottles after seeing this thread, with extra sports caps. The flipper sports cap broke within five minutes of me giving it to DD, aged 4!! She was just sitting on the sofa using it; there was no rough treatment.

Emailed the company and they said another type of cap might be more suitable for young children - on the website they say kids love these caps - and acknowledged that they have had a problem with some of the flipper caps breaking.

I bought four caps in total - but they will only send me two replacements, even though they agree there is a problem with the strength of some of these caps and that they are not ideal for young kids. Have wasted my money, and won't be buying from this company again.

We use the Sigg bottles, and I put them in the dishwasher - I've never had a problem with them.

thinkingkindly · 16/03/2011 17:28

Second top broken - so that is two in two days. aaargh!

Hi all,

I have a sistema screw bottle as well and have found them to be the bee's knee's. Only issue is cleaning some of the stuff in the screw cap, but reading some of the thread, it seems you can take this apart. Any instruction on how to without braking my lovely natural nails :)
