Teen son has porn on pc - of a local teacher

Hiya,

I have had to deal with the subject of porn on my sons pc before, and he knows my thoughts, but this has now gone a stage further, as the pictures he has saved are of a local person who is apparently a teacher.

According to him they were found on a website by a friend of a friend. I can manage my childs access to the internet, but should I do anything about the person in the pictures??

Is this homemade porn, do you know?

Because there us a chance that she (assuming its a she?) is unaware that its on the internet.

her brother saw it.....took loads of hassle to get it down of the website and she was beyond mortified

videoed by a boyfriend without her knowledge and posted on the web once they split up

I understand the 'mind my own business' comment but the majority of the pictures are very explicit and have been taken in public areas, in some cases with other people exposing themselves as well, at what appear to be local beauty spots or places that cause shock. For instance leaning up against a police car and next to the welcome sign of the towns university.

I think it's a question of should I make the local educational authorities aware of what one of the people they entrust to protect, morally guide and educate our children is willing and capable of doing?

Not sure, it's a difficult one.

On the one hand no one is being hurt, doesn't even sound particularly explicit - just a bit of exhibitionism.

My concern would still be that this person is unaware that the pictures are out the for anyone (potentially) to see. I just assume it's fairly likely that a teacher would not choose to make these pictures public.

I wouldn't contact her employers/education authority becuase s/he hasn't actually done anything wrong - posing for these pictures is not indicative of anything immoral, it's just a kink.

The problem is that the pictures are on the internet and quite probably without her/him being aware.

If anything, I'd be inclined to find out from ds where he found them and then contact (email?) the teacher just to give a heads up and then they have a chance of getting them removed if they want to.

Yes you must inform teachers employers...and thats to find out truth.
Because either way an offence has been committed. Its not just harmless kink when its been made available to children. And if it is some cruel joke then I would suspect that teacher may wish to find culprit and press charges. Either way.. school needs to know. They have children to safegaurd. Good luck x

It happened to a friend of mine and the pictures were very elaborate fakes. I'd get more info from son then contact teacher directly. You'd like to think a teacher wouldn't be stupid enough to do this?

I would inform the authorities and then if the teacher is innocent at least she/he will be able to sort it out, maybe press charges etc.
If guilty, it is unprofessional at the best and then they should expect the consequences of their actions.
A teacher friend of mine was hauled into the office as students had managed to access her fb pictures scantily dressed on holiday. They were Post compulsory students and teacher did have clothes on, just showing cleavage.

If she's teaching professionally and not fucking every person in the class, then you shouldn't report her. It's none of your business what she does when she's not a teacher. Get over it.

She probably has something in her contact about not bringing the school into disrepute, she will probably be sacked.

Unfortunately it is every parents business to make sure that children are safegaurded from harm. Teachers are professionals and have codes of conduct to adhere to both inside and outside of work.

My concern would be how many children are accessing these images and whether teacher even knew they are public or not and if not I am sure they would want to know.

Certainly a fitness to practice issue. Anything on the web becomes public issue. If privacy is wanted then dont put it out there where children can access.

I don't think it's uncommon for fake photoshopped explicit images to be made and I'd be concerned in case this was so here. I would hate to think of a teachers career ruined if they have been a victim of this.

You are mistaken and unfair. Telling a teacher how to live their private life in case your children manage to find them online is unreasonable, especially since it isn't established whether the pics are genuine or even intentionally uploaded.

I feel a bit sorry for her to be honest. I think it's far more likely that either these were leaked onto the internet by some bastard boyfriend of hers, or they are photoshopped. In either case if she is sacked/nearly sacked over it then it would be extremely unfair.
