DS who is just about 5 doesn't like 3D films and we only go to the 2 d version. Couple of reasons 1) they don't make child size glasses so he he finds them uncomfortable and 2) the 3D makes all the special effects hyper real so if there is anything vaguely scary it will be 10 times worse - this was a particular issue when we went to see a very tame U cert animated movie, preceeded by a totally unsuitable 20 minute Scrooge thing with Jim Carrey, one poor child had to be taken sobbing from the cinema.

It may just be my child that is like this, Yogi bear is unlikely to have truly terrifying moments - although it does look mind numbingly boring, so good luck with it. Why not try your DD and see how she gets on with the 3D

Oh thought of another reason for 2D, 3D is pricier and you have to pay for the glasses.

I took 3yo dd2 to see Toy Story 3 in 3D, she loved the film but wouldn't keep the glasses on.

DS is 5 and he struggles to keep the glasses on. I would go for 2D
