I feel like a terrible mum today :(

Dd has been moaning crying or screaming since about 10.30.. Has only stopped for a few feeds and bizarrely she was fine for about 10 mins after one feed where she was smiling and playing.

I feel as though I must be awful for not being able to help her. She doesn't seem windy, have been changing nappy frequently, offering boob every hour or so, no temperature. Don't think she is ill as no snot etc and was fine for a little while. Can only think she is over tired because I didn't get a chance to take her out in her pram where she will often settle... Although she has had three short naps. First time I desperately wanted her to sleep so let her snooze on me but she woke crying. So next time I put her in her cot, ditto. I can't win and don't know what to do :(

Thanks all, dd has been a bit better today- I gave her calpol! And since we had some sun I took her out twice in the pram so she got some sleep and I feel better- although my back is now conpletely f**ked!

Luckily a great mate came over this afternoon and helped me out- even gave dd a bath for me... Just hope my back is better tmrw. Why does this have to happen now too...

So appreciate all the support from you all. Am going to try her in a sling but facing out now she is big enough.. She hated the sling facing me although after about an hour she would eventually go to sleep, by which time I was ready for a break and sit down!

She is pretty good in the pram though so fingers crossed we get some good weather in the next few days

Oooh, also someone I know recommended teething powders- never heard of them, how do they work- as am ebf. Are they better than calpol?

I used the homopathic teething powders from boots / holland and barrett, basically you just put the powder on their tongue, its quite sweet so they normally love it !

they worked as a cumulative effect, and the only thing that really worked on ds.

its all about getting them off to sleep so you can have a lie down rest ! Hope it gets better for you soon
