I really hope someone can offer some advice. My DD - just about to turn 5 - gets really distresed after a wee saying she's 'dripping'
've tried helping her wipe and there is nothing there but when she stands up she cries and cries and behaves like a tantruming 2 year old.
It can take 20 minutes to calm her down.
She sometimes keeps toilet roll isn her knickers which can help but if she forgets its there she gets really embarrassed when changing for PE at school.

I have tried beng patient but I am really starting to lose it with her because it happens all the time and is so frustrating!!!

Is this normal???

She may have a uti this can make you feel like you need to wee when you don't

Take her to the gp asap

I think it sounds like an infection too

Really? Its not red or anything and is only when she's just finished her wee.. She wes the normal amount of time and no stop/start or tiny wees you get when you have cystitus or anything like that. I'll get it checked out though, thanks.

MissDrip - my 4.7 year old dd does this too...although doesn't get as distressed about it...but she touches her 'bits' a bit after pulling pants and trousers up and says she's still dripping...but like your dd, doesn't appear to be. It only lasts a few seconds though and then she forgets about it so perhaps not exactly the same?

Thanks 13lucky, maybe my DD is just a drama queen!!!
