At what age did you find dungarees practical?

Some say newbie ones are no good because the straps end up around their ears and the front part covering their chin. Some say they are no good for babies and toddlers that still nap in the day for the same reason.

Some say the footless sort are no good for crawling because the poppers come undone. Doesn't that just mean they are getting a bit small or that the poppers have weakend with use though?

I found them very practical in the 1980s when I was going through a Bananarama phase.

Definitely not what you're potty training! They're a nightmare to get out of quickly - and when you're potty training they need to go NOW!!

Babies do look so cute in them though ... and my daughter wore a pair from Next last year when she was 3/4. She looked lovely but got very peed off when she couldn't undo them to go to the loo.

Both mine wore them virtually from birth to potty training stage - I agree they are not very practical when speedy undressing is the key.

Most of ours came from Lands End and were good quality, so the poppers didn't keep coming undone when they were crawling - a few cheaper ones did have that problem.

DD has been regularily in dungarees since about 4 months. We had some lovely lined ones from Pumpkin Patch that she virtually lived in.

She is now 10 months and crawling/cruising. As others have said, very handy handles for grabbing her before she gets into something she shouldnt, good for crawling as they cant slide down and the adjustable straps mean they last her a bit longer than normal.
