cot to bed? single or toddler? Duvet? Dream tubes?

My DS is 2 yrs 3 mths, and is a good sleeper in a cot (not cotbed) and sleeps in a gro bag. His feet are nearly at the end of his gro bag, and I'm wondering wbat the next move is re moving to a big bed. We moved house 2 weeks ago so I didn't want to change anything before the move, but he seems settled now so I've started to think about moving him to a bed.
My doubts are that as he's a good sleeper, why change anything? Maybe i should keep him is his cot and start using a duvet instead of a grobag.....
I have a single bed we could use although it is very high. I also have some dream tubes which a friend used and highly recommended so I could use those on the single bed. However, it would be a long way to fall out!
Has anyone else used dream tubes?

I would be grateful for any advice. (If a toddler bed would be a better move I would be prepared to buy a cheap one.)

I moved my DD's at 18 months (due to sibling needing cot Grin and 2 years with no problems whatsoever. Both straight to single beds (DD1's was quite high as drawers underneath) with a bed guard

I would NEVER get a cotbed - what is the point? If you need to go and comfort your child, or even end up swapping beds Hmm, i can assure you, having full sized singles is a godsend.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the transition [smile[

Thank you, thats sounds like good advice. I also heard that the higher the bed the less likely they're going to get in and out......

Also, has anyone use the gro bag duvet system where the duvet is attached to the bottom sheet?

We moved DD1 into a bed at 18mths.
DD2 was due plus she seemed ready.

Moved her to a toddler bed from Ikea. We used Single bed duvets and tucked the excess on the bottom and side under the mattress. This makes it into a kinda sleeping bag so they cant pull the covers off.
Another plus of that is that single covers are MUCH cheaper than toddler bed cover and theres much more choice.
We let DD choose her cover too. She picked a Peppa pig set and she loved getting into her 'Peppa bed'.

She never got out at all, even though she could easily! Even now a yr on she still doesnt.
I guess we were pretty lucky there :)
