I drop him off at friends at 8.20 who takes him to school for me

i go to work
get home at 3pm.
race up the road for 3.10
get home at about 3.30

i have a dog that needs to be walked before 4.15 as thats when the park shuts.
DS doesnt want to come with me as he is tired.

Im a lone parent, so noone to watch DS while i walk to dog, or to nip out with the dog.

Tried to walk dog yesterday, but had to get aircut for DS - didnt get home till 4.20

Tried wed and DS fell over on way to park and we had to come home

Dog did get a long walk tuesday

monday, tried, but again failed.

Then DS is really tired, tea needs to be earlier, bed and bath by 6.30. Not forgetting words and stuff from school.

Its a bit exhausting.

Dog is old with a few medical problems, so can manage with a walk every other day on a weekday. but i still feel awful. Family have offered to help, but you know, say one thing then when it comes to it...

any pointers?
ideas?

Can you bring the dog with you when you go to pick DS from school? Surely to school and back is enough walk for old dog? Or how old is DS? Is he old enough to be left while you walk dog after he's in bed? I see loads round here walking dog in dark.
