Sleep for 3 month old

I'm confused about sleep! My dd is 3 months old now, and has been sleeping through the night for ages (sooooo lucky!) as in 7.30 til 7.30 next morning, with a sleepy feed at 10.
This is fab, and I really don't want to rock the boat, but, she does get really stroppy in the evenings and I wondered if it's because she hardly sleeps in the day? She usually has 3 naps of 30-40 mins which doesn't sound like enough according to books etc. But she is growing well just really hard to put down in evening.
Do you think she needs longer naps? And any idea how to do this?

My DS is 3 months and also does 8 - 8 but without the 10pm feed. He also only has 2 or 3 very short naps in the day. I was assuming it's normal - I'm just following his lead. He is also quite grumpy in the evenings sometimes.

Try to make the middle sleep longer but:

a) feeding immediately before the sleep so she is nice and full.

b) for first few days take her for long walk at lunchtime so that she can sleep for 2 sleep cycles.

c) once you have done that for a couple of days try and get her to do this in cot. don't pick up if she wakes after 30-40 mins unless loud crying.

However DS2 didn't consistently have a longer sleep at lunchtime until weaned onto solids.

My DS is exactly the same. He is 12 weeks and sleeps well at night but hardly naps in the day. If he's in the car or pram he will sleep so I try to take him out somewhere every day, so he gets some sleep that way. I wish he'd sleep at home then I could go on mumsnet get the ironing done, but no such luck!
