I have been conducting some research on which reusables to get (I am a novice) and I was wondering about the general concensus on these ones?

I have been using totsbots for the past 14 months. Got them from ebay and have used both birth to potty and two part ones i.e. towelling nappy with rubber outer. Love both but from a cost point of view I should have got the birth to potty ones and only got the two system one in size 1 and 2 as no birth to potty on ebay at the time I needed them. However, you do need a booster in the birth to potty ones. I also only use the two piece system at night when my son went into size 2 as they keep him drier for longer than the birth to potty. I love them and am so glad I am not contributing so much to landfill. We do use disposables when we go away for weekends etc though as it saves having dirty nappies hanging around in other peoples houses and we don't have to worry about washng and getting them dry on holiday. I don't find it that much a chore to do a nappy wash every two days. I also use the re-usable liners too.

I got a whole bunch of Little Lambs nappies on ebay and they are great! Very similar to Tots Bots. The only thing is that they don't do really nice covers (I like pretty fabric ones), but I bought those elsewhere so it's all good :)

I love my Little Lambs!

We have mostly the bamboo ones as they are more absorbant, i do have a few of the cotton ones and one or two microfibre ones.
Have used the size ones on DS from birth - he was one a week ago and we still use them. We took the velcro off the front of them though so we could use nappy nippers on them to get a good secure fit, and they work really well.

Am not keen on their wraps, so we tend to use cotton bottom wraps which although not pretty, are fine and do the job, or we use wool.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll have a look on ebay and see if I can get them a bit cheaper as the whole thing is just an expense that we cannot afford at the moment!

Sorry for stealing your thread, ive just ordered little lambs trail pack of all their nappies, so I can make a choice on what I want. I was so confused by the other reusuable nappy websites, this one was the one that stood out.
Are they as good as they seem? Would you recommned them to a friend? If you dont use the wraps, what ones do you use?
I like the look of the pocket nappies, have any of you used them?

Big fan of pockets/all-in-ones here. I started out with two-parters seven years ago, mainly Totsbots. Little Lambs are pretty similar I think. In those days the pockets I tried were a disaster. They've evolved since then and there is an unbelievable amount of choice out there now.

Cheeks and Cherries is a really nice nappy website and explains what's what pretty well.

For pockets, BumGenius is a good workhorse nappy. Not the prettiest and the velcro on mine looks grim after two years. And I am heartily sick of stuffing pocket nappies so prefer all-in-ones at the moment.

I adore Itti Bitti all-in-ones but they are sized so can work out pretty pricey. Haven't tried their new(ish) one-size Tutto.

Totsbots Easyfits are a really nice option because they are birth-to-potty and the absorbent bit is attached so you don't need to seek out a myriad of inserts/boosters to stuff them with. They do benefit from a bit of extra boosting on a toddler though in my experience.

There are lots of places to buy second-hand (pre-loved!) nappies and it is a fantastic way to try out loads of different types.

thanks very much swampster, I will have a look at your suggestions. I never knew there was so much choice.
