Swearing

I hardly ever swear, well never unless you count the very occasional things like crap and get stuffed as swearing which I don't

Have two DDs who are 6 and last few months I have noticed a few swear words creeping in, not used maliciously, but things like this is f rubbish, or where is my bloody bag.

At school they got marked down for swearing a couple of times but they have not really made an issue of it

It was a post on MN a few days ago that got me wondering, how do you all handle swearing by your DC, do you allow it, turn a blind eye, punish or does it depend

saying f- at 6 y.o. is pretty steep. We neiterh of us swear in front of dd, and she'd be shocked if we did, and a bit disappointed. At 11 she is very straight and moral!! Where do they pick it up from, then?

if she ever did swear, it would be a ton of bricks time.

School, I can think of no where else.

My mum had to brake suddenly with ds in the car, he was 3 at the time, he shouted out f* sake! And I hardly ever swear, especially when he was around, they pick up things from all over the place, other people out and about, school, overhearing conversations etc.
I just explain that thats not a nice word and I don't usually hear it again.
