Any thoughts?

Also does anyone know of any Nappy Laundry Companies that deliver to Rotherham/Sheffield?

Well in terms of best for baby... surely it HAS to be nice cotton nappies rather than things filled with revolting chemicals and gel

Big vote for lovely fluffy cotton nappies.
(Best for all of us!!!)

yes a big vote for fluffy terry nappies here too. As for nappy laundering companies, well they're fine for some people BUT...

they usually launder only their own prefolds and wraps, and the nappy just doesn't suit some babies (didn't suit dd- leaked all over the place). However, they launder to "hospital standards" -well they have to as you would be getting back nappies someone else has used. And can save you some hassle.

Washing nappies really isn't a hassle though when you get into a routine. Also you wouldn't have smelly nappies piling up for a week before they are collected. Also you can have the nappies and wraps which suit your baby's shape, so fewe leaks. Also some cloth nappies come in really funky designs which can't be laundered at high temperatures. Also if you wash your own nappies you can sell them on when they are out grown, saving you and the environment even more.....need I go on ?

Sorry for the delayed response.

Thank you for your help everyone. Cloth nappies do seem a good idea.

However I like the idea of washing them myself but I am a little worried about trying to get them dry as I don't have a tumble drier.

Do they tend to take a long time to dry?

I have no tumble drier have fuzzi bunz i washed last night hung over radiator and they were dry this morning

i have no tumble drier, no radiators and no garden to hang things in!

I used terry squares when ds was little, easy to fold (despite popular opinion!), nice and slim for a little baby and VERY quick to dry! also very cheap

i also had some nappy nation no fold shaped nappies which fold out and are quick to dry too.

Fuzzi bunz are also VERY quick to dry, we use those now with ds and find them fab!
