Suddenly got problems with bedtime!

Out of no-where my 18 week old has started to make an awful fuss as bedtime. In the past she has been sleepy and been put down awake and sucked her thumb until asleep and stayed asleep until morning (I am blessed) but out of no where she has begun to cry and complain viciously when I put her down dispite being exhausted. This has been happening for ten days in a row now and it can take her an hour sometimes to get herself to sleep. She also sometimes wakes in the night and although she never cries at night and never has (again, I am blessed) she moans and kicks off her blankets and hits the bars of her cot until I go in and settle her (this often involves bringing her into my bed so I am probably my own worst enemy)
I havent changed my routine at all and this crying came out of nowhere, I've always structured a pretty regular routine (I'm using Gina Ford's method) for her and it's been working brilliantly until last week. What's going on??? Could this just be a phase?

She might be getting hungry at night again, as she may be going through a growth spurt. Does she have milk directly before bedtime? Or any in the night?

maybe she's cold now we're into autumn, ie kicks her blankets off and then can't get warm again? we put our dd in a baby sleeping bag at about that age, then if she threw the blankets off, she was still warm and stayed asleep - it worked a treat for us, worth a try? i also used to put a warmish water bottle in her cot half an hour before i put her in and then took it out and put her in the warm cot. gosh, i'm probably spoiling her!

Might be teeth?? I remember similar phases and it's always worse when they're laying down. Or possibly overtired from not enough sleep in the day?
Just a couple of thoughts.....

I will try the hot bottle thing, I have a lavander scented one (now THAT is spoiling!) which might help. She's a bit fussy about taking naps in the day too, usually complains for a second or two when I put her down in her cot but very happy to sleep on me or on the sofa (not safe anymore as she rolls.
I don't think it is hunger waking her, she has a bottle at 6pm and I wake her at 10pm for her last bottle of the day which she guzzles usually about 8oz of and if she wakes at 4am she usually just wants a cuddle or company. Am I making a rod for my own back by going to her when she wakes up and staying with her when she cries at bedtime?
