won't walk anywhere

dd is nearly 2 and refuses to walk. When I drop dd1 off at Nursery I have to drive, then park and walk. I used to put dd2 in the buggy, but now try and get her to walk for the exercise... she'll walk for about 3 mins then beg to be carried. My back is killing me!
I don't really want to keep putting her in the pushchair as I feel she should be walking more now at that age. How can I encourage her to walk and not end up carrying her everywhere?

my dd1 was just 2 when dd2 was born, therefore she had to walk and i didnt have a double buggy

i just used to ignore her pleas and tantrums to be carried, dont do it! after a while she will get fed up

for longer walks i got a buggy board, but i dont attach it all the time, i tell her "you can walk to the shop then on the way back sit on the buggy board" and now she hardly uses it

she skips and sings songs
