DIY boosters?

I've got some preloved Bambinex bamboo nappies which don't have boosters.

I don't want to buy boosters specially (we're skint), so what's the best (cheap) alternative to use which doesn't need sewing? Would normal flannels work, or microfibre cloths?

TIA

folded muslins

microfibre cloths

never had much luck with flannels here though

Hmm, I've got more muslins than flannels or microfibre cloths so I'll give that a try. Aren't they a bit bulky?

oh possibly yes on a newborn - ds is 5m and chunky

plus our muslins are bamboo so quite thin

when he was tiny i used bamboo washable wipes as boosters

Thanks - sounds like they'd do for DS - he's a 99th centile 12 month old!

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try it out later.

Ages ago I saw microfibre cleaning cloths in Aldi/Lidl or similar and they were 99p for 3, so I bought a few packs. I folded the cloths and used them as boosters, they were great and I could fold them however I wanted to best fit whichever nappy I was boosting. If you see an cheap I'd recommend them plus not as bulky as muslins.

A friend of mine did a similar trick with cheap terry style tea towels from a 99p shop. She just cut and sewed them and she said they were great.

The buy/sell nappy section on here often has inserts come up too so keeping an eye out on there could be an idea.

You probably have sorted now but I saw a huge pack of microfibre cloths in Asda this week for £5.
