We are moving about 15/20 odd miles away for a while so every day I need to drive DH to work, DS to school (we have 2 cars but dhs work & school are quite close & timings are good) but I think it'll be timely & costly (&boring!) to drive back 'home' again to come back out again. So I have 6 hours to fill but no idea what to do (DS2 is very niosy so not library!) Any ideas...? :)

Have you looked into whether there are any local toddler groups near where you DH works? You could take your DCs along, and would get to know some other mums in the area before your move?

Maybe we could all meet in the lifts?

Ha, "how many MNers can you fit in a JL lift?" . I have not slept a wink all night [slurps coffee] , the minimum I have worked out I can do is 37 miles a day if I drop DH at a station along the way to DSs school which is on his 'work line' - just 10 mins - and stay in B for the day, and it isn't one of the days we go to 'shot training.

CHipping - MIL is waaaaaay better than living with my mum. My mum is Hyacinth Bucket and I have 3 boys. Nuff said Wink. DHs '2nd' choice used to be his 1st choice, he is equally keen to do it. Moving out before selling mainly because my mum is coming Grin, but also we could not sell it with the boys - they wreck the place too quickly. Everytime I paint they manage to find a pen ShockBlush, it would be a nightmare. Besides, it gives us a little time to try out MILs while we still are able to come back here, also I am hoping DH will definatly be in the raf (or past a few more stages) before it's actually sold.

Can't rent because it would cost more than the mortgage here anyway, and DH gets about 13k on training. If I focus on the positives (MIL has a garden!!!, offered unlimited babysitting (not been out in years), best friend is buying a house in that town, nearer the stables I wanted to take some lessons...) I might just convince myself it might work Confused Grin
