Is it just me or is it not common in the UK to give children suppositories when they have a temperature to get it down. I lived in the UK for 30 years and never on a day to day basis heard of a parent choosing suppositories over calpol/nurofen.
Now living in Ireland and it is extremely common here infact my SIL uses them just in case her toddler gets a temp? Everyone recommends them and I am just surpirsed. I know that people have to use them for stopping seizures etc but not for common colds/temps.
I have no problem either way just curious to what people think.
