Ok TR my advice to you would be to sit down, have a cup of tea and relax for 1/2 an hour (mumsnet is particularly good for this). Then just begin the day again

frannyf · 24/09/2005 08:10

I hate it when the day starts like that! At least you know it is you being grumpy, I usually manage to convince myself it is somebody else's fault.

Is there something nice and / or silly you could do together till you feel less stressed out? Then grab all the clothes together, and stick some in the washing machine, quick!

I lost one of DS2's shoes yesterday... only bought the pair last week for £35. Assuming we don't find the right shoe, will also require a 35 mile round trip to buy another pair.

Anybody want to cheer me up?

Plus, a brand new shower hose fell off the back of the cycle trailer the day before. I have to go to Sainsbury's this morning & am wondering what I will lose on the way home from there....

I now know my cleaner is pinching my make-up.

And it is a horrible feeling.

Carmenere · 24/09/2005 08:16

Oh dear fqueenzebra the shoe thing really annoys me, they are so bl**dy expensive - I'm forever wandering around supermarkets looking for ones that have been discarded, so you have my sympathy

I buy all my makeup (Clarins) in Dublin as my Mum used to work in Arnotts part time, so we still get 25% discount, plus the difference on the Euro makes it worth buying when I go home.

Last time I went home I bought foundation and few other bits, I bought an eyeshadow, shades of brown, and decided to keep it until my current one was finsished. As a By the way, I couldn't find my eye shadow brush yesterday evening, so decided to use the applicator from the new one,GONE, I put it in there at the start of the month, DS is only 4 and can't reach, and DH does not cross dress, that I am aware of, so I don't need to be Sherlock to work that one out, do I ??

Lockets a bit difficult as she is the Childminders daughter.

Carmenere · 24/09/2005 08:32

Oh dear, do you want to confront her? Would it be easier to let her go for some made up reason. I think you probably should get rid though as I think trust is really important with people who work in your house

Say you can't afford her anymore?

SherlockLGJ · 24/09/2005 08:40

If I don't get this part time job I went for, then I will use the fact that I am not working to sever all ties.

What is really pushing my buttons is the fact that I know, but I can't prove it. IYKWIM.

Carmenere · 24/09/2005 08:46

We had a situation like that when money started going missing (large amounts of cash €50/100) started going missing from my very elderly granny's bag. the only person who had acess was her home help but there was no proof (apart from circumstantial). However as soon as it became apparant my uncle just faced her and said that she had to leave and that he was sure she would know why, which she did without objecting thankfully. Horrible situation
