How many layers should I be putting on my 6 month old? May seem a daft question but there doesn't seem to be any good information ion this. She sleeps with one medium thickness blanket.

My 18 mo has a cotton babygro, with a fleecy one over the top, a 2.5 tog sleeping bag and a fleece blanket. She sleeps on a sheepskin, too - but then our house is pretty cold and her room's about 12 degrees overnight.

My 3 month old has a vest, babygro and 2.5tog sleeping bag. On nights like tonight where it is below freezing I will also put a thin blanket on. She is in my room though so if I wake up cold I'll pop extra layers on her.

Mine were in grobags from this age, great to keep them warm when they start wriggling about at night. Tonight DS2 is in vest, long-sleeved sleepsuit and 2.5 tog grobag (room temp about 16 degrees at night).

Ds (10.5 m ) is in vest, sleepsuit and sleeping bag - with a fleecy blanket for him to throw off Confused

If they are cold they wake up :)

My 4 month old is in a vest, sleepsuit and 2.5 tog sleeping bag - room is about 18c.

If it's colder than 18c I put a cellular blanket over the top. If it's 20c I put him in just a 1 tog sleeping bag.

7 month old is in vest, sleepsuit with PJ's on top then 2.5 tog sleeping bag. He is a wriggler so blankets are useless. Also can't have heating on overnight as all the banging and clanking from ancient boiler wakes the pre-schooler up!
