DD turned two a week ago. She has recently started saying 'Pee' and clutching her nappy and informing me that she is 'pooing' (although it's rather obvious from the strained look and odd shuffling).
I've been reassuring her it's fine to pee or poo in her nappy and that we would go and change it when she was done.
Just went up after today's nap to find her stark naked and a poo nestling in her duvet cover. She was quite distressed and waved her pooey hand at me.
One bath and washing load later all is calm again.
Is this a sign she wants to toilet train? I wasn't sure whether the 'pee' and clutch nappy was when she was about to pee, was peeing or had peed.
I don't want to rush her at all as I think it will take longer that way - and I have a 5 month old too so can't always help her immediately. I don't know how to gauge when she has enough muscle awareness and control to actually be out of nappies.
Would pull up nappies and a toilet trainer seat give her options?
