hello, well exactly what the title says really

i've just been wondering when am i ment to be switching from formula milk to cows milk for bedtime feeds etc? and it sounds stupid but hows it done lol as in is it heated or do you give it cold? and also do you take the bottle away after they're asleep etc or leave it for if they wake throughout the night? (which is what i do with ds's bottle now, but i'd never leave a glass of milk on the side and drink it hours later)

i did ask my hv, but she's useless and didnt actually give a straight answer, or any answer and after she left i was left more confused than before!

thanks for any advice!

:)

I never warmed DD's bottle, she is a strange little bod though. she preferred it cold. I wouldn't leave the milk for her to drink overnight, apparently it causes teeth to decay.

I started by using it in cereal from about 10 months and then the odd feed. But tbh, I just started using it full time when the formula ran out. DD drank a lot of milk though at that age, still does but then she was still on about 6 bottles a day at least! Once she got over a year I watered it down just because I didn't want it filling her up as she drank so much of it. I heat it in the winter and dont when the weather warms up. For bedtime, DH leaves her with the bottle and she's always been fine. Again I wouldn't leave it in warm weather. But I always nick it and replace it with water as I'm aware of the tooth decay thing as well.
