Can I take DD (6 months) to a firework display?

I bet this has been asked loads of times but I did a quick search and couldn't find the answer - sorry!

I'm not worried that she'll be scared - she wasn't bothered by a really loud display near our house the other week and she's not nervy generally (although if she is scared I'll take her straight home obvs)

But is it bad for her ears or eyes or something?

Once you're there, at a public display, it's really loud.

I wouldn't tbh. Get a babysitter and go for yourselves.

I took dd2 aged 8 months. Wrapped her up with a hat & hood over her ears and took her in the sling. I was prepared to leave immediately if she didn't like it. She loved it.

So imho there is no harm in trying

Well, we took her - she liked looking at the bonfire but fell asleep before the fireworks so we took her home (only round the corner). I'm glad we did though as they were really loud even from inside the house (she still slept through them though!)

Thanks for the advice!
