If your dd has a Syvanian Family house can you tell me what's good/bad about it?

DD has mentioned this, researching now so as not to make an expensive mistake.

Is Beechwood Hall a tad small and fiddly?

What are the others like?

TIA

One is half price on the entertainer website if that is of interest.

DD started with SF at 5y and still loves it = now 8y and is hoping for moe for Christmas. It does seem to have longevity, iswell made and is very cute in places :) But it is expesive and some of he pieces are very tiny.

DD doesn't have any of the big houses - they seem so dear and then need furnishing.

The caravan and car is fab and I do like the look of the horse and caravan. The canal boat is great too.

DD likes all the smaller sets - doctors, dentis, pizza place, camping set, school, etc.

Some of the houses have lights, my dd loves them most. Also, the tree house tends to be much loved. I would choose one where she has space to make a living room, kitchen, bedroom(s) and bathroom so there is plenty of space to play stories. Also, I have found that many toy shops will offer a discount (up to 10%) if you are blunt and ask for it ...

DD is getting the hotel which is big with lots of rooms to fill. Reviews say that Beechwood Hall is a bit small, probably only takes 3 room sets max. There is also a Hilltop Manor- have you seen that? Is nice and big. All come with space for lights which you can buy from Sylvanian Families website.

We've got a few bits-the bakery is lovely Hula, quite good value but it has a zillion tiny pieces, microscopic slices of tomato.

Her mice did live in her wooden dolls house but they've been evicted by Polly Pocket and her sleepover gang. Apparently the mice need their own home Hmm.

Yes I know,I wasn't born yesterday but if it's what she really wants I could combine all Xmas money iykwim. However which one???? The Grand Hotel is a def no no for obvious reasons.

Toying between Beechwood,Hilltop and the Treehouse.

The thing is she's got her old wooden dollshouse which probably is a tad simple iykwim but I don't know if I should make her have separate things instead of putting all her eggs in one basket so to speak.

Quite like Beechwood, don't mind only 3 sets fitting in it as she has no furniture so it'll be cheaper however if it's too fiddly to play with. She likes the treehouse but it looks huge, not sure about fiddlyness again. Hilltop is lovely but how big is that,is it GH size?

Thanks.

We've dd(9) has got several. First one was Rose Cottage (same as Applewood cottage only different colour). LAkeside Lodge is good value but the sloping roof means you can't have tall furniture upstairs ! My fave is Babblebrook Grange with the light up fountain ! Agree the smaller buildings and sets are good fun too.

I haven't seen Hilltop Manor in person but it's marketed as the biggest house so I would have thought similar to Hotel in size. The treehouse is massive- easily as big as the hotel I would think (perhaps a bit smaller in diameter). Beechwood is probably quite fiddly but opens out so should be ok to access with small hands. The windmill looks nice and not too big.
