Yes, I have one here too. I wonder if there's a market for nurseries aimed at teenagers?

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 02/11/2010 20:58

Ahhh, have just realised that you meant you have a 7 year old who acts like a teenager. I have a teenager who acts like a 7 year old - I wonder when the years synchronise?

Me too. A DS. Complete with eye-rolling, sulking, talking back, lying on bed for hours reading and refusing to pick up his smelly socks that are strewn around the room.

Maybe he'll be a very nice teenager, though

dd1 at age 8 can certainly flounce like a teenager. And seems a little (lot) over-emotional at times. And she loves her computer games and her Nintendo DS. But she can't be a proper teenager as she still talks to us incessantly.

I am hoping the message has got through as she had to do everything she was meant to do lat night so had no time for playing before school. I need to remember to remind them about consequences.

My other teenager who is 9 was pulling rude faces at me this morning when I told him off and was very cheeky Hmm.

I am going to enjoy a few hours peace Grin.

DD is 12 yrs old in a couple weeks. She seems to have been in teenager mode since around 7 yrs. Although she never has and likely never will stop talking. There is the vague hope that at some point in her teenage years, she will talk less (she even talks in her sleep!). But yes, the exit-flounce, eye rolls, floor wardrobe, gaming, reading, music, etc. have all been there for the last few years....
