Lol didnt know what else to call this, need some advice please.

At the moment we are using a whole range of wraps for DD2 in medium/size 2. Troble is shes slim with one slim leg and one fatter leg lol. Im finding it really hard to find wraps to fit both legs without drooping at the waist, i feel wraps with aplix are best but i also like poppers as shes starting to pull aplix ones open now.

Which popper fastening wraps would you recommend?

motherease airflow as there are 3 poppered sizes around each leg?

They suited my slim legged dd and my chunky monkey dd equally well.

If you like velcro, then the Motherease Rikki should be fine, you can carefully sew a small tuck in the binding of these wraps - it's a fine mesh, so if you only sew through the mesh rather than the waterproof, as she grows / evens up, you can take the tuck out. I used to sew up all my Motherease wraps like this, as my daughter had matchsticks for legs, but we needed the height!

Might be worth asking your GP/HV about the different width legs and if there's anything you can do.

Oh i know whats causing the difference, theres a genetic disorder in DPs family, unfortunatly it will always be like that :(. Other two DCs never had the leg problem so ive never had to do this before.

We have an old style wee notions wrap thats similar to an airflow but shes on last popper round leg now and still on first round waist and on other leg lol. I used a rikki for DD1 might dig that out and give that a go and tuck it in like suggested Confused`

Started using terries on a night so i can nippa them and tuck edges in lol, but can fold wrap round as it will leak grrr.

I've got some air flow wraps and some fuzzi bunz with pointy tabs that I'm selling on - any good? Could measure the sizes to see how they compare to the one you're using?

peachybums · 31/10/2010 22:07

Thanks but she just wets thru FBs i had to sell a couple we bought. I have a feeling the airflows are just going to be the same as we already have, a friend of mine suggested pull on wraps. Might borrow one and give it a go. Thank you for the offer though Grin

I never got on with pocket nappies - just used them as wraps Grin

Pull on wraps I don't have any of I'm afraid! Although you could some of the WAHM makers to make you popper wraps with extra width and then extra poppers?????

Tried a pull on wrap this morning, my friend dropped one off after school run. Not bad but the side on the 'fatter' leg seems a little tight, wouldnt want to put her in it overnight :(. Might just try make my own or use some wool longies lol

wool longies/shorties could be the way to go?

mylifewithstrangers · 01/11/2010 19:37

Yes was going to suggest wool shorties. We use them for overnight. Lots of crafters out there who knit them to order - so you may even be able to get special sized ones.

peachybums · 06/11/2010 18:08

Thanks might try wool again now shes moving around, wee used to come through before and end up with a wet bed!
