Sticker chart for bedtime & morning - how to co-ordinate?

We've been doing stickers for staying in bed for the morning for a while now which was great but dd1 (3) is misbehaving at going to bed so we have tried stickers for that, but we have become a bit inconsistent & it's not really working.

Problem is if she misbehaves at night but is good in the morning she gets a sticker so it's not really reinforcing enough. Is it unreasonable to make the sticker for both bedtime & the morning?

If she gets 5 stickers she gets a treat from a jar. We need to be more consistent & get bedtimes sorted as her howling is horrific.

Do one for both things (if she good at bedtime and the morning)

This book has all the answers for how to get the most out of reward charts - I couldn't survive without it (well I could but would be even more shouty!!).

He says to get one thing straight before moving onto the next. So if mornings are sorted and the habit is ingrained then tackle nights. Never use a reward chart to tackle more than one thing - it makes it too difficult for the dc to be able to be rewarded so they stop bothering to try.

Once again - read the book (I should really take shares out it it!) and good luck.
