How much do you ignore your children Part II

Well done Vaunda for getting everyone's attention! Hats off to you! For a wind-up it really is a good one and has certainly livened things up on here!

For the record I also give my children my undivided attention, only an hour ago I was on the toilet having a poo whilst discussing the validity of quantum physics with ds (20 months). I know he's a genius, sigh, but some of us just have to put up with these things don't we?

I read the thread from the beginning, think it is a wind-up. If not then surely very boastful about her child's achievements. But read it for yourself, it makes no sense and I'm sorry, but I really do not believe her! However that is not to say that I would pick on her. If I came across her on another thread I would leave her be. This is just a jokey thread following on from the het-up one. So get a sense of humour and join us genius mothers who cannot give their children enough attention!

WTF? i thought this was a light-hearted thread.

Rhubarb · 12/09/2005 21:54

It is a light-hearted thread! Sorry I shouldn't have responded there! No more mention of the other thread now and if anyone comes in trying to stir, we just take the piss ok? So be warned all you stirrers! No need for jealousy now is there?

Do you know the first word my ds said was "metaphor".

Oops sorry, dd and ds who are obviously with me whilst I am surfing on MN, are asking if I can read A Brief History of Time to them before I put them to bed, with me of course! I need to get the classical music system set up too, it helps to expand their intelligence you know if you leave it on whilst they sleep!

Nighty night!

I have big plans for my genius children. Ds will get his 1st in maths at Cambridge, then join the Royal Navy as an officer and achieve Admiral by the age of 30. He will also play rugby for Wales during his leave. Dd is going to get her 1st in physics and then go and work for CERN. I fully expect her to be a supermodel in her spare time. Obviously, they will both fit in a perfect marriage to people of my choosing and produce plenty of grandchildren. Oh, and the Nobel prize each is optional - wouldn't want to pressure them.
