Netnanny or similar

Hi

I am looking for some software to keep my children off unsuitable sites when we're not home.

Have had a look at netnanny & it looks like the sort of thing we need.

Looking for reviews from those who've used this or other similar software before I buy.

Thanks

We use bluedog (I think). It is free and needs a password. DD once looked up pictures of horses. I don't think I need to say any more.

I use one called Bluecoat K9 web protection to stop dd1 accessing You Tube when I am not in the room/hovering about.

It's free and seems really good.

I had a look at my desktop that's why Grin

I didn't have a clue what it was called. I just knew it something to do with a dog.

Bluecoat K9. Very good and free.
But NO program is foolproof and definitely not a substitute for parental supervision.

Thanks for the recommendations - will have a look at the K9 one as well.

Try opendns.org too, it's not software, just a pair of free DNS servers that you can use in place of your ISP's, to filter various categories of material.
