DD has just been screaming for the last hour or so, have comforted her but I have to make something to eat
DS had a meltdown becuase I wouldn't let him have a breadstick in the lounge, I put him on hos bed and he weed on it.
Can't bear them at the moment. DH is back and has taken them away into the other room/.
When do you gett to the stage where yu can grate cheese without someone screaming and clinging to your leg.?

I was trying to make you laugh, I'm glad it worked!

I had the same kind of day, only with 1 child. I honestly don't know how anyone does this with more than one.

My one is 16 months and very stubborn. He hears fine, he just doesn't listen!!!

My boys are 9 and 5 and I would have said that the last 2 years have been a huge amount easier - there is light at the end and if all else fails there is always gin. Smile

how old are dc? by 18months ds was 'helping' to cook tea. By three is was more helping then a few things that didnt matter if he munched it. Now aged five he can under supervision cook tea. Only happens just occasionally, if he fancies it and i can face it/have the time.

That said all he has done since coming home from school is scream and howl at me and i cant wait to shove him into bed.

Wine or chocolate or both.

problem is they are tired, they don't sleep enough during the day (DD anyway) but if she sleeps she doesn't sleep at night.
Maybe we need to seee whether that is still the case - can't carry on like this

Mine are 5 and 3. I remember this stage well. We installed a stairgate across the kitchen door when #2 was 9 months old so that I could cook tea without anyone hanging from my leg screaming to be picked up. There was still screaming, just from the other side of the bars. Did preserve sanity somewhat.

I am not as dedicated as PumpkinBrain (tiny kitchen and cannot control twenty wayward fingers at once AND make sure tea gets cooked) but they play so nicely together in the next room now I very seldom have to shut them out :)
