Chicken Pox

Our baby is 14 weeks old and my husband has got ChickenPox.
The baby has been so far healthy and is breast fed. I had chicken pox in my twenties so probably am immune.
I am just bricking it as the baby will no doubt get it and am terrified that she will be so sick, as when I had it I truly felt like death warmed up, what should I do to make her as comfortable as possible and is there any use taking her to the doctor when/if she does get it?

It's probably your dh who is in more need of a doctor's advice. As you know CP as an adult can be very horrible. Keep a close eye on him and ring for medical advice if you are even slightly concerned (don't go to the surgery though unless so instructed!)
My dd2 was 5 months when she caught it from her sister. She was covered in spots but not unwell really. Lay in some calpol and try and keep her cool but she'll most likely be a bit grumpy rather than desperately uncomfortable. Good luck

Thanks, that has calmed me a bit - yes, huband has been to the doctor, she said it was the 'best' case she's seen in a long time! Poor bugger

Not sure when they can start taking it, your baby is probably too young but Piriton helped my son with the itching. He had it at 2 years old and wasn't particularly poorly just very spotty!
