Can I have bouncer / rocker recommendations please?

Haven't seen anything I particularly like - I don't get on with rockers as much as bouncers since the rockers seem so reclined...would like something baby can sit up and have a play in.

Quite like the vibration feature, but not fussed about light shows or music players. A couple of toys would be nice.

Don't like the basic wire frame type either. Am I too picky? Grin

Bumping for you as mil wants to buy something for dd2 & not sure what to suggest, thinking about a bouncer.

We got the fisher price precious plant bouncer
( www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-Precious-Plant-Bouncer/dp/B001L092JI/ )

It vibrates but dd never really appreciated that. You can pull the cords on the little animals and it plays either animal sounds or music which DD loved. I got some linkies and attached them to the pullstrings so she could activate it when she was too little to reach the cords. It absolutely transfixed her.

To be honest i wouldn't pay too much for a bouncy chair. by 6 months your little one will probably be trying to roll out of it to get to other "more interesting" stuff (i speak from experience, lol) and is likely to be getting to the limit of it weight wise.

Most of the playing DD did in hers was pretty passive so I wouldn't worry about getting anything that has too many bells and whistles. When she is old enough to "play" properly she is not going to want to be restrained in the chair.

Hope that helps.

Ds1 had an all singing all dancing £80 one which was used, maybe twice. He hated it.

Ds2 has a £15 basic mothercare one. It's been my best baby buy so far!

If you can afford it get the babybjorn babysitter balance. i doubted it's value but my LO is now 3.5months and other than my arms it's his favourite place to be. So easy to put them in, easy to wash, great to watch him bounce as he kicks. Brilliant, wouldn't be without it. Oh and the toy bar attachment is lovely.

had this one for both of mine

www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-Kick-and-Play-Bouncer/dp/B0002VZ20A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby&qid=1286377128&sr=8-1

i think the fisher price ones are pretty good, as they are quite strong and take take plenty of weight. my 2 yr old got in it sometimes and it hasn't broken or anything. with some other more flimsier looking bouncers you find even with a 6 months baby it can be really weighed down if they are a bit on the big side?

i think any of the fisher price ones would probably do the job well but the one i had i was pleased with so would recommend that. and imo vibrate function is def worth it, used to send them to sleep when they were small so can come in handy.
