chickenpox...again?

The doctor who isn't that good IMO reckons my son has chickenpox again. He and ds1 both had them last August. ds2 has quite a few raised red spots and ds1 has just 4 or so. ds2 does have a problem with his immune system but both of them with it...again??? I thought yesterday that they were just midge bites or a heat rash. Really don't want to go thru this again.

Is it possible to get the dreaded pox twice ???? Do they have temperatures, trust your instincts, maybe it is just prickly heat rash, or an allergy to suncream????
Sorry I'm not much help

Did they have a mild dose last time or full on head-to-foot spots? I thought you could get CP again if it was just a mild dose first time round.

Have any more come up since yesterday - don't CP spots appear in batches? If loads more have appeared then I'd say it was CP. If not, either it's a mild dose which probably wouldn't be too uncomfortable or it's not CP after all.

mydd had chicken pox a few weeks ago and as it was a mild strain the nurse said she might get it again!!Infact when i asked the nurse said that even people who have had full blown chicken pox sometimes get it again!Good luck

Is looking like chickenpox now as more spots seem to have appeared. Can't believe both ds could have it LAST AUGUST (and ds1 had a really bad case)and BOTH ds have it a second time THIS AUGUST! What's the chances of that! I find it worrying for ds2 as he has a problem with his immune system like i said and i have read of complications.
