Leaking nappies at night - advice please!!

Hi.
My DS will be 3 in December and has been potty trained for 6 months so is totally dry during the day. However, he still needs a nappy at night. I am getting so fed up of these leaking! It seems to be happening nearly every night at the moment. They don't even seem to be that wet - it's as if the wee is missing the nappy altogether, although it is still firmly in place! Have tried all sorts of different nappies. Any advice please. We are running out of sheets and pyjamas!!!
Thanks

Hi Sausage,

We only used Huggies nappies as they were the only ones we could get on with without leakages. Since DS (also 3) has been potty trained during the day we have used Huggies Pull Up Night Time under his pj's and have never had a problem with leakages and believe me his pull ups are absolutely sodden in the morning.

Oh, and I always make sure his willy is pointing downwards when I put them on. Might seem obvious but thought I'd mention it.

Let us know how you get on.

It sounds strange but when this was happening to ds I put him up a size into junior nappies (for older children)(am in nz so not sure what they are called there) and it seemed to work.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do always make sure his willy is pointing down, but he could be wriggling so much that it moves? He is quite small for his age so did briefly think of next size up, but he's in size 5 now and i'm sure a 6 would be far too big as he's so petite and skinny!!

Any other suggestions?

I use reusables at home, but when we are away I still put a nappy wrap over the disposables to stop leaks. I would recommend wool wraps, if you get longies then you can use them instead of PJ's.
