How has pregnancy/having kids affected your brain??

Anyone else completely lost it since having a baby?? Please don't say i'm the only one who has embarassed themselves

Today in town was dying for a pee, got in the loo pulled down trousers and a few seconds too late realised i'd forgotten to pull my pants down

Was trying to feed a screaming baby and the postman knocked at the door with a parcel for me. As I was stressed I put baby down opened door, took parcel and went back to DS, a few hours later realised i'd answered the door wearing only a feeding bra.

Keep going to the local cornershop (1 min away) for pint of milk and come back with 2 loaves of bread.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I have totally lost it.
Took a new job after pregnancy.
They expected a part qualified accountant with an BA & an MA.
And they got a total nonsehead.
I don't what has happened to me since pregnancy.
Lost all my organisational skills.
Memory like a sieve.
Can't keep it together.

Can't be bothered to get off my arse and do anything .
Yet feel happy & o.k. , so know I'm not depressed
Is that what you mean ?

I am assuming I am not alone ?

I found myself turning into my mother (shes mad to).
I forget things all the time,
Find myself humming the tune to tinnkabilla at work.
Talk too people like i talk to my dd,

We are all going mad!

I point out Tractors/Buses/Diggers/cows etc whilst with other people (no DS to be seen)

I forget people's names constantly and call them by the wrong ones

I have answered the door with one breast hanging out

I say the most silly, inane and, when I'm very unlucky, inappropriate things to people when I don't know them very well and am a bit shy!

Have a habit of putting my house and car keys in the fridge! am 38 weeks pregnant now so hopefully it will get better after baby is born! - until then i manage to amuse dp with my bonkers brain, and my kids think mummy constantly wondering around the house wondering 'what the hell did i come in here for' is mildly amusing!

moozoboozo · 06/09/2005 14:57

I think it's called "nappy head" and yes. I have it too. In the past I have put salt in the fridge. And I often forget what I am talking about mid sentence

RachD · 06/09/2005 14:58

Take it from us, helenjay - it doesn't get any better.

I call my next door neighbour "Glenn", atleast once a fortnight.
Even though I know his name is not Glenn.

And I always remind myself not to do it again.
And then in a few days, I do it again !!!!!

kbaby · 06/09/2005 21:05

Since ive gone back to work I cant remember a thing.
My normal answer to a question I get asked is 'I remember something about it but cant remember who did it or why' What help is that. I say it all the time because things ring a bell but ive no idea why
