The plus side of people not replying I've found is there's a good chance you'll have a spare party bag (if you're doing them) for when someone turns up who had replied that they weren't. There is one woman here who hasn't answered one invitation from anyone who has sent her DD one as far as I know. I'm beginning to wonder if she can't actually read or is just rude. Think it's the latter.

This one really p**s me off, especially when you have to pay per head and confirm the numbers beforehand. I know I should just assume no reply means no show, but we all know that's not the case.

inexcusably rude.

last year for d2s b'day I had loadsof replies and no-shows? Hoping this year won't be the same.Awkward time Sept as meeting new friends and losing touch with old ones!

That's interesting Nikkie. We used to have dreadful problems getting replies in Oxfordshire, but since living here we've had 90-95% reply rate and reliability for turning up!

I thought it was maybe a southern problem - obviously not!

Wacky warehouse parties can be ok as invities contain a menu to complete and return, no return no meal, seems to focus the mind
