OU Tutorial - what should I expect?

Hi. I am doing a 30 point level 1 OU course, and my final TMA is due next month. I got fairly good marks for the first 2 TMAs, I expect to have not done well with the 3rd (my own fault Blush, and I am not really enjoying the subject). Anyhow, due to stuff at home/childcare etc I haven't been to a tutorial during the course, but hopefully will be able to go to the next one in a couple of weeks. I am feeling indimidated by the idea of it and just wondered if anyone could tell me what to expect.

TIA

i didnt go to all my tutorials in my last ou year, i went to every other one mainly because it was very far to travel for me. We were in an adult ed college on a saturday morning. Normally about 20 other people turned up and tutor would go through impending TMA outlining what was expected and then would do a group activity that would support the tma info. painless really but quite scary as you dont know anyone! have you been on your tutor group forum page and asked who else is going? i found someone who was in my area and going and arranged to meet them half hour before so we could grab coffee, made it seem less intimidating going into the room when i had someone i could sit next to! LOL

i found the ou forum a brill place for support although found it a nightmare in the 2 weeks leading up to a TMA deadline because people had so many different ways of doing their TMA i got really confused.

I've been to a few with between 2 and 8 students, if you're a new face tutor will probably ask you to introduce yourself then get down to work. Tutors ate very experienced and won't make you feel uncomfortable.
