Ok prompted by another thread and because i'm bored. Where do you buy your liners and which ones are the best?

I like Boots disposable ones. Not flushable, but hang them up to air out or even wash them (best in a string bag) until they get pooped on & then just throw away (after dropping the mess off if possible).

The flushable types don't last more than 1-3x being wee'd on.
Fleece -- the poop is supposed to peel off, but often it doesn't!

We actually use old rags as liners, though, to be honest, works a treat, wash & reuse if not too dirty, toss otherwise. Plenty of ruined cloth items in this house suitable to be cut/shredded up and reused as nappy liners.

I tend to use fleece but use disposable ones when out/expecting a poo.

I have used php, ultra ones from kittykins and some from lollipop. TBH I find that they are so difficult to find unless you go to big Boots that I use whatever I can find.

The lollipop ones are huge and I might start cutting them in half as I am worried about the flushing senario.

I use popolini disposable liners for ds when in nursery. Otherwise I don' bother as most of our nappies are lined with fleece, I use the showerhead over the toilet.

fqueenzebra · 01/09/2005 22:04

You must have a long showerhose, Chipmonkey. Doesn't the whole bathroom floor get wet?

WE shower the baby down after a poo, though, gets his bottom wonderfully clean.

kath4kids · 01/09/2005 22:23

ahhh bless on the shower front. Had to do that yesterday. Didn't see what happened but was given ds and told he needs a shower i'm going to sort the mess out downstairs, he's exploded out of his nappy. lol aren't men wonderful.

I use fleece and rinse in the loo to get any solids off. Still as good as the day I bought them

misdee · 01/09/2005 22:46

we use fleece as well, just rinse off and wash.

fqueenzebra, not if I am careful and do not get distracted by the other ds's.

kath4kids · 02/09/2005 06:24

Yorkiegirl I think when you go to buy your next lot from boots you might find they have ditched the whole cotton bottom range and gone back to boots brand, unless its just our boots which i doubt

When i went they were selling off all the cotton bottom stuff in baskets and all the boots stuff was back on the shelves that i haven't seen for ages.

In Birmingham, the smaller branches of Boots were selling the Cotton Bottom range for half price and have now stopped selling them altogether. You can still get them at the larger branches though - at full price!
