One friend would be ok, I would think. Just be prepared to abandon any sensible sleep time and make sure they don't have to get up too early the next day.

Go for it - what's the worst that can happen? They don't get much sleep....

(BUt then my two have been doing sleepovers for years already and are 4 & 6....)

lol Pixie!

It would hopefully be on a Friday night.
I'd get him picked up at about 11am probably

it would be after school so probably pizza, dvd and then bedtime funtimes would begin

It'll be fine.

My 8y DD loves a sleepover. Last Easter holidays I had 4 of them sleeping over in her room. They loved it and had a great time. They were all asleep before 10:30pm, and not awake before 7am. I put on "teacher voice" at 10pm and it worked Grin

She's been to a few sleepovers - has one next week infact - and they are generally fine IMO, so long as the parent gives them the warning to sleep.

DD has had her best friend sleep over several times and vice versa and they are always fab, usually asleep well before 9pm, and not up before 7am on the whole.

Teacher Voice is essential to master. The teacher stare or glance is also another one; always used with lingering silence.

Personally I thnk it depends on how your kids sleep, My Dd1 [21] is a great sleeper and had many sleepovers when she lived at home. Dd2 [14] is a nightmare and never goes to sleep before 11.00. She has been to sleepovers at peoples houses and kept everyone awake ALL night. It is soo embarressing picking her up in the morning to be told that they have had no sleep. From when she was about 9 I have been warning people. lol. The mad thing is that most people invite her more than once. I never allow her sleepovers at home but she does bring a friend on holiday sometimes.
Dd3 [7 and a reasonable sleeper] has just been for her first sleepover at Gp's she didn't like it much and is not too keen to go again.
