I didnt know where to post this and thought maybe cloth nappy mums maybe most likely to use these???

Just wondered anyone who use them, what is your routine for cleaning them? I know you should rinse in cold water then wash as normal which is fine on my cloth san pro but i just cant seem to get stains out of my Fairy Hammocks Confused. I have been washing with nappies at 60 after cold rinsing them. Dont know if doing something wrong or if its a common problem with these pads?

Any ideas welcome :)

I use them. None of mine have stains - or maybe I can't see them as I tended to buy darkish coloured ones. Bu also all mine are fleece or minky or lycra and I don't think that they are fabrics that stain really. Natural fibres will always hold onto stains ore than synhetic fibres.

I've got mostly Weenotions cotton and minky ones, the cotton ones stain most and Nappies by Minky fleece topped ones which havn't stained. I put them in a Monkeyfoot bag. Then at end of day rinse first and wash on 60. My only problem is where to dry them. Don't really want visitors seeing them hanging around!

Anything topped with cotton or flannel will stain, I have found. Fleece are brilliant. I have had some fleece ones for a couple of years now which still look perfect. Don't use them as much now as I have a mooncup but I do use them with the Mooncup on heavy days, just in case and just at the end of my period when it's too light for the mooncup but hasn't quite stopped.

I dry mine on a clothes airer in the utility room which isn't in view but even if it was, I don't think anyone would really notice; they are not pad-shaped unless they are folded and even if someone did notice, so what? It's not like you're the only one who gets periods, is it?Grin

Yer i did think maybe the material was the wrong choice with the fairies as the others are fine. I dry mine on a sock dryer over the bath or on the line outside, im sure the 2 teenage boys have seen them next door but i dont care lol when they are on with my nappies they cud be mistaken for boosters by someone who doesnt know lol

Given that someone who didn't know, wouldn't know what a booster was either!Grin
