My dd has been potty trained during the day since she was 14 months but it took me a long time to get her to be dry at night (easter 05).Since July she has had 2 dry nights so far I have put it down to disruption in routine. She is 4 in september and I am staring to feel that she should be by now.
Any advice?

i wouldnt worry...

1 in 5 5 year old wet the bet, as do about 1 in 4 year olds..

its so commen Drs dont consider it wvwn to be a 'problem'

I would just praise dry nights....

and ensure you put a double layer of sheets on to make night time changes as quick and stress free as possible!

that was supposed to say 1 in 4, 4 year olds!

What is really bothering me is the fact that she was dry for 3 months and is now wet again, and being selfiish am not looking forward to fitting a bath/shower into the morning routine when 3 of us have to get to school!

Is she drinking more fluids before bed? My ds has just decided to give up nite nappies. It's been a week and he has had 2 wet beds. I don;t let him have a drink 30 mins before bed and make sure he sits on the toilet before going into bed. If he wakes later than 7.30 am then he seems to wet and wake himself up. As we're all back to playgroup and school this week lie in's won't happen so I hope he'll be fine.

nikkie I am having a shocker of a week with this!!!! I have had 2 wet beds every night and it is raining blah blah blah. I am running out of sheets/blankets/pyjamas!!!!

My dd is 7 in Oct and still wets the bed on average once a week. No drinks after 6:00pm, toilet before bed and my dh takes her at 11:30pm. It drives me insane but statistics are 50% chance of a child bedwetter if a parent wet the bed as a child and 80% chance if both parents wet the bed (dh did I didn't). My ds1 never wet the bed and all of a sudden has been wetting 2/3 nights a week all through winter - I put it down to cold weather??? You just have to persist and they will grow out of it (I really really hope)
