Bumgnius for day, but which nappies for night-time?

Those of you who use BGs, what do you do at night? I am worried about over stuffing the BGs (with a bamboo booster or something) - I think it will make the legs gape etc.

I'd like a birth to potty night nappy if poss.

I have a Close Parent Pop-In bamboo that I am going to try (they have a night booster) as I have heard they are super thristy. I assume I will need to use a fleece liner as the layer next to the skin seems to be bamboo = soggy bottom!

Any other ideas?

DH is v sceptical about a fitted plus wrap, but that's just tough if that is the best for a night nappy! He seems to thinks its nasty for the baby to not have the whole lot changed every nappy change?! (He just loves BGs!)...

I use Flexitots at night with a Flexiwrap or a Motherease wrap. Size 2 are pretty much birth to potty (start at 10lb) though they are very bulky on newborns but if it's just for night time you probably won't care.

Forgot to say you probablly won't get birth to potty wraps but I think that's the same with any 2-parter. Tots Bots do two sizes and Motherease do three I think.

I use either a Bamboozle with a hemp and a bamboo booster (plus fleece liner) or an Bambeasy (EasyPeasy nappies) with the same boosters. The Bambeasy is fleece lined so you stuff the nappy (like a BG) which I find handier to put on than the Bamboozle. IMHO ME airflow are the best wraps although a lot of people swear by wool or fleece wraps for nighttime.

My DC aren't particularly heavy wetters and there's always absorbency 'left over' in the morning.

Whatever you go for, I don't think you can beat the hemp/bamboo combo for night boosting. Bamboo on top.

ME do xs, s, m, l and xl wraps. DD is 2.8 and still fine in an L, xs is, IME, only for the pre-night nappy phase - the very first few weeks when you're changing nappies through the night anyway.

They dry Very quickly so you could probably get away with having just one wrap, two would certainly be fine.

I use a Bamboozle stretchie with a fleece liner, & this lasts a good 10 hours with no leaks. I use a Bummis wrap primarily because dd has an umbilical hernia, & I find these sit nicely below it at the front. I got the size 1 bamboozle as she's a small 4 month old, but the size 2 is birth to potty. Downside of bamboo is it does take ages to dry, so you prob need at least 3 if washing every 2 days.

Flips which are a two parter. They are a onesize wrap. Use them on a bamboo fitted nappy or the organic insert they came with.

I use a BG at night too (up to 12hours) - no problems with leaks so far - DD is only 3 months though

If you don't like the idea of a fitted and wrap at night, there are some AIO & pockets that are popular as night nappies. I use boosted Magic-alls , Drybees fleece pockets and Ecobubs wool pockets all successfully at night.

I use Bamboozles (with booster) + a fleece pair of pants/shorties - no idea how it works but they never leak even though my DS is quite a heavy wetter. They look so so cute too

wellbalanced · 24/07/2010 22:35

I use the close pop in with booster as you mentioned, I also use the organic BG flips Or just really stuff any of my other pockets.

I have also seen Bambooty easy nights, which look good - anyone tried those?

I know they're not BTP, but by the time I need night nappies, I figure mediums will fit, so I am only likely to need medium and large...
