Going to London to visit the Queen...

Am planning on taking DD (3months) to London mid august for the day. We'll be flying down from oop north.

A couple of questions:

Easyjet says you don't need photographic ID for infants - should I take birth certificate?

Does the airline provide the infant seatbelts (will be on lap)?

Do aeroplane toilets have a baby change surface?

Are you allowed to take babies on the tube?

Thats it I think

Thanks in advance...

The only part of this I can answer is the tube bit... Yes you can take babies, but don't even attempt it in rush hour, also lots of stations only have stair access so be prepared to struggle a little with a buggy, having said that people help in my experience when they see you struggling.

won't hurt to have a birth cert

yes they give you an infant seatbelt

depends on aircraft, don't bank on it - assume it's a short flight though so just cjhanmge her before you board and hang on till you get off

No, in London all babies must travel in individual bubbles with their own air supply
Of course you can take them on the tube but be prepared for lots of steps. Bring her in a sling if possible.

Are you coming alone? Or meeting someone here? Be warned you will be exhauated by the ensd of the day.

I would take birth certificate to be on the safe side. Actually, I would probably get her a passport to be on the safe side!

Yes, the provide a seatbelt that attaches to yours.

Some toilets do and some don't. They will have the same sign on them that baby changing facilities have on the ground. However, it can be tricky to change a baby while in the air, because of mild turbulence. If its a short flight I would change just before boarding and then leave it until after landing (unless poo, obviously!).

I know nothing about the tube.

baby changing on the flight - will be basic. take disposible changing mats and use the floor. (or change just before your flight and hope for the best!)They will provide lap belts.

re the tube, you might find it easier to use buses and in many cases, just walk. Get a good map!

Easyjet chat is quite useful and free for this, although I can't find the link for it now that I am looking. It definitely was there a few weeks ago!

I was told when I asked about ID that a birth certificate would be fine.
