How do you find time and energy to exercise?

I'm struggling a bit with this.I know I need to exercise regularly but after 2 years of not a single full night's sleep (another issue entirely that I've tried to address but have given up on) I never really have the energy to to exercise.

I try to take my LO out for a walk at least every other day, but I do have to force myself as I'd rather just lay down!

He is the youngest of 5 (but only four at home) so there's always a lot for me to do.

I know I'd feel better if I was fitter, so would love to hear how other's manage to fit it into their routines.
Thanks.

Energy? Well, exercise begets energy, so the more you do, the more you're able to do.

It's motivation you need, rather than energy.

Time? I play badminton with a friend twice a week; once in an evening; and once in the day at the weekend.

I used to run in the mornings on DH's days off, but I ran out of motivation for that.

Dancing in the living room with the children is fun. Do it in the morning when you have more energy - it'll set you up for the day too.

Zumba is really good fun - I'm desperate for some dvds after trying out my dads ones.

And although wii fit is a bit crappy for proper exercise, games like 'Just Dance' are exhausting to play, so are definitely good exercise if you play them for long enough!

a wii. this means you don't have to find a gym that provides child care. you can do it when ever you want. often if i go for a 'run' on wii the boys join in to!

gumblossom, I just make myself. with a five month old, I understand the need to lie down.

and my key is - the days that you really don't want to do it, are the most important. even if it's just walking on the treadmill at the gym, or getting out with the pram for an hour, it's better than nothing. and the psychological boost is worth it, and motivating in itself.
