What breathable night nappy?

DD is currently in a Bum Genius 3.0 overnight (up to say 10 hours). When I take it off in the morning it is very heavy, but babies bum is very hot and moist (sorry if TMI). I assume this is in a large degree due to the PUL layer.

Can you recommend me a more breathable nappy for night? However, it also needs to not leak as DD is in our bed, and DP would freak out about a leak (he is body fluid phobic )

Should add DD is a bit more than 2 months old.

Ok - I have done some research and it seems that something with a wool wrap over is the way to go.

However, have explained to DP how they are meant to work and he is repulsed at the idea of DD evaporating wee under our duvet (co-sleeping).

Can you tell me if:

a) they really don't smell

b) they really don't leak (DD lies on back all night as can't roll)

I've never found wool smelly but DS1 and DS2 always think DS3 has had a poo in the morning when he hasn't. This is whether he is in wool or fleece (especially smelly!) or disposables which he is in until my new washing machine gets here.

There are all sorts of lovely woolly things out there but in my opinion you really can't go wrong with Disana pull-on pants. They look really silly in the photos but I promise they are really cute on.

And treat yourself to a Bedbug - they are gorgeous and utterly leak-proof in my experience.

They are pricey but DS3 has been in his M/Ls for a year now and they will fit for a while yet. Look out for them pre-loved.

Thanks all - I shall show DP this thread. The bedbugs are lovely but £25

I know! But soooo cuddley and fluffy. And with great resale value. After a year you could get 15 quid back so think of them as a tenner?

swampster how long to the bedbugs take to line dry? 3 weeks?

Three weeks is about right. I have four but I also use BBH bamboos (I have a fair few), a Wee Notions Night Notions and a Tot Bots stretchy.

I sometimes finish them off in the tumble dryer for ten minutes to make them properly dry and soft and fluffy again.

We got bedbugs (not litterally, i ment the nappy lol), i thought night nappies were another way to make a bit of extra cash but trust me they are worth it! My DD2 is 9 weeks old and her bedbug is fantastic never had a leak, shes a heavy wetter and it doesnt smell at all. I bought my 3 preloved for £12 each its true they take all day to dry on the line so if your budget is tight and you cant buy more than 1 you may want to rethink.
