Bambinex Nappies - Any good? Help!

I'm venturing into the crazy world of reusable nappies and have to admit it's making my head spin. I've been onto the Nappy Lady website, and she's recommended Bambinex Bamboo Nappies to me.

I just wanted to see what people thought of these nappies, if they'd recommend them, and just any other general advice they'd pass on. I've read somewhere that these are leaky - is that the case?

Also, some people have said they take a long time to dry. As we'll be heading into winter a couple of months after the baby comes, surely a tumble dryer negates a lot of the point of using reusables?

Thanks in advance for your help...

Havn't tried Bambinex bamboo but have tried the Bambinex teddies which are microfibre and come out of the machine almost dry as the moisture is spun out of them. Found them to be be lovely and soft and absorbent although not as thirsty as bamboo. Maybe get a few of each so you always have some dry and some for naps/night etc.

I used bambinex bamboo with motherease airflow wraps for DD#3 when she was small and I thought they were very good. I have moved on to a mix as she has become bigger, but I still have a few of these in the bigger sizes and still like them. My favourites though are the totsbots stretchy bamboozles with a motherease wrap - they just look so much more comfortable and they really do the job well.

I really like Bambinex bamboo nappies. They do take longer to dry than cotton or microfibre nappies but I can still get them dry in 24 hours. It might be worth having a couple of microfibre ones handy for when your bamboo nappies are drying.

I don't personally tumble dry my nappies, for environmental reasons more than anything. With DS1 I used radiators and airers to get them dry in winter but we've moved to a smaller house so I've just bought a washing line cover to use when the weather isn't great so I can hang nappies out come rain or shine
