top yes have suggested age is five or seven depending on which one you buy and how high. if it is the bottom then know different to bed although you should check she know not to go on the top without you.
We had our girls in toddler beds until younger one s got to long to fit without it being extended their room isn't big enough for two beds. could have stayed in them ;longer but we had a chance to sell both of them so went for ikea bunk beds they our now 4 and 8. we had to wait until older one was dry at night. as well.

I've just put my ds's in they are 2 and 4 and absolutely love them. No problems so far.

If you haven't bought them yet, I got a great set from an ebay seller, they are the Argos ones which I had my eye on but £100 less. Easy to put together and fast delivery - less than a week. This was the seller if you are interested - pinewood59.

Thanks Jelly

but my question is: is it ok to put my 2 years old at the top?

I have to say that I wouldn't put my 2yo at the top - youngest mine went on the top bunk to sleep was 5, but I guess you could get away with 4, as long as they'd had plenty of play time on it during the daytime for a while first, so they were really confident on it.

Castle - I can't understand your post at all! Can you explain in more detail? With a bit more punctuation?

MrsJohnDeere · 16/07/2010 15:22

I really wouldn't put a 2yo in a top bunk.

We have bunks for a 4 yo and 2yo. The 4yo is quite safe climbing up and down the ladder (he is quite sensible). The 2yo isn't. He climbs up but cannot get down again safely. He has taken to jumping of late.

In fact, we're actually thinking of taking them apart this weekend and using them as single beds for a while, even though they will only just fit in the room in that formation, because the 2yo is getting too dangerous with his top bunk antics.

can u take all bunk bed apart or it depends on the type?

Oh god, mrs deere that is us exactly. Put them up then remembered why we took them down for ds1 and 2. Now trying with ds2 and ds3. But, the 2 year old spends his life attemting to hurl himself from the top, and the four year old tries to get him to climb down by 'helping'.

MrsJohnDeere · 16/07/2010 16:56

I doubt they all come apart. Ours are wooden ones from Homebase (don't seem to be available any more) and definitely do though.

If you got ones that could be used as separate beds you could just build one bed for your 2yo and have the baby in a cot. Tht's what we did until ds2 started climbing out of his cot.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 17/07/2010 08:17

No, they don't all come apart - you need to check.
