Should I take DD to the GP ?

I slipped on the stairs this morning and dropped poor DD (5 months) down 6 steps. They are thickly carpeted but she banged her head on the skirting at the turn. She screamed, then I latched her on and she fed for a bit. I checked her limbs, neck etc and she wasn't at all floppy; eyes focusing OK and sitting up well as normal. She has been quite OK since this mishap but I am wondering if I should pop round to the GP this afternoon just to check her over for anything unseen ? Our GP was, until recently, a paediatrician so it would be reassuring to get her checked over.

Or would I be timewasting ?

I wouldn't bother tbh. I can't imagine that a dr could spot something in 2 minutes that you haven't noticed all day.

In my experience this is one of the few situations where NHS direct is worth ringing. They have a great list of questions and checks they run you through and then advise whether or not you need to see someone.

Have done a compromise and just called SIL who is a nurse and ran through some questions (has she been sick, fitted etc) and said just to keep an eye on her and go to casualty if worried.
Thanks both, don't want to be a paranoid PFB mother but on the other hand don't want to not something I should for fear of being seen that way !
